Operations Tasks:
Operational Responsibilities
· Ensure that financial and accounting policies, processes and procedures that represent best practices are consistent with Company business needs and that applicable laws, rules and regulations are implemented.
· Review all studies related to financial and economic conditions to determine financial trends and expectations and make the necessary decisions based on the results of the studies.
· Monitor actual spending and compare it to the approved budget to determine compliance with the approved budget, study variances and ensure that corrective actions are implemented.
· Monitor revenue data from financial records and financial databases and classify revenue according to specified criteria.
· Ensure improved performance of financial systems and their integration with operational systems at Company.
· Conduct a comprehensive assessment of all aspects of financial performance and provide appropriate recommendations for decision making by senior management..
· Ensure that monthly and annual accounting books are closed on time and correctly, and that accounts are settled accurately and that the required financial tables and reports are prepared.
· Ensure that fixed assets and inventory quantities are verified and settled correctly at the end of the year and identify, follow up and resolve any discrepancies
· Ensure periodic reporting to senior management on Company’ financial performance and cost analyses for effective decision making.
· Create added value by providing recommendations to reduce cost, increase revenue and enhance efficiency. In order to raise the level of performance and productivity
Development Responsibilities
· Develop improvement plans to raise the level of management performance to keep pace with the strategic directions and main priorities of the Emirate of Dubai in strengthening the economy.
· Viewing the best international practices through exchanging information in the field of customs work and supervising the implementation of projects, initiatives and development plans.
· Developing the skills and competencies of employees in the administration, and providing them with training, continuous education and professional development to improve the quality of service and increase productivity.
Financial
· Working in accordance with the powers granted to him in the department, reviewing powers periodically and updating them if necessary, ensuring that the necessary approvals are obtained and ensuring that financial policies are followed.
· Managing the department’s budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated appropriately, effectively and in accordance with the Dubai Government’s financial policies..
· Monitor and control costs to ensure effective use of available resources, identify cost saving opportunities, and develop and implement cost reduction strategies when necessary.
Strategic
· Participate in developing and implementing government strategies, programmes and initiatives that aim to stimulate the economy and trade in the country and the emirate and contribute to achieving the vision of the government of the UAE and the Emirate of Dubai
· Contributing to enhancing, empowering and maintaining the strategic role played by the UAE and the Emirate as a global launching point for goods to all countries of the world.
· Setting strategic objectives and operational plans for the sector and determining the priorities of the department’s projects and initiatives based on feasibility studies, their returns, and their compatibility with the department’s strategies, objectives, and available resources.
· Develop and manage stakeholder relationships with the aim of enhancing the positive image of the department and improving relations with all parties.
· Identify and manage potential financial risks at the department level and provide business continuity plans and appropriate solutions to mitigate these risks.

· Maintaining the confidentiality of information in line with policies and procedures of information security in Company from any disclosure or misuse of information.
Job Requirements:
· 10-15 years of experience in the field of work
· Certified Public Accountant preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
